Care Tips
If you want raw hair bundles to last a long time and stay soft, the biggest things are moisture, gentle handling, and avoiding product buildup. Here are the main care tips:
Washing:
Use a sulfate-free shampoo.
Shampoo in a downward motion to reduce tangling.
Follow with a moisturizing conditioner.
Deep Conditioning:
Deep condition at least twice a month.
Leave conditioner on for 15–30 minutes.
Drying:
Pat dry with a microfiber towel or T-shirt.
Air dry whenever possible.
If blow-drying, use low to medium heat and a heat protectant.
Daily Maintenance:
Brush gently from ends to roots using a wide-tooth comb or paddle brush.
Avoid heavy greasy products that cause buildup.
Sleeping:
Wrap hair in a satin/silk scarf or bonnet.
Sleep on a satin pillowcase.
Put long bundles in loose braids or a ponytail at night.
Heat Styling:
Raw hair can handle heat, but excessive heat shortens lifespan.
Always use heat protectant.
Keep flat irons/curling irons under 400°F when possible.
Shedding & Tangling Prevention:
Don’t cut wefts unless necessary.
Seal wefts if you plan to cut them.
Keep hair moisturized to reduce matting.
Storage:
Store clean, dry bundles in a satin bag or original packaging.
Keep away from humidity and direct sunlight.
Good-quality raw bundles can last 2–5 years with proper care. Curly and wavy textures usually need more moisture and detangling than straight textures.
